Sesame Seeds laddu/Nuvvula laddu is traditional and super healthy Indian sweet balls made with white sesame seeds, jaggery and cardamom powder. These laddus are usually made during winter and festivals like Sankranti, Ganesh Chaturthi and even Navaratri. These are also offered to the deities during festivals as naivedyam. Most Telugu speaking households also make these often for their growing kids as they are nutritious. Ingredients like dry roasted sesame seeds and crushed peanuts are sweetened with jaggery and laced with cardamom make laddu delicious. Unlike sugar, jaggery has a distinctive flavour, which complements the other ingredients beautifully. This requires very little ghee, just to boost the aroma, because the crushed peanuts and jaggery provide enough stickiness to hold the laddu together. This is very tasty and simple to prepare. In this laddu sesame seeds contain calcium and jaggery contains iron. Beside being tasty, it also helps arthritis people. This is very good for hair & bones. Making these healthy & delicious balls is super easy, even for a newbie. You can make them all alone without any help.
